Temporary Registration

The practice will provide treatment and advice to all urgent and immediately necessary medical problems.  You should wait to see your own doctor for routine matters.  If you are in the area for longer than 2 weeks but less than 3 months and require routine care, please discuss this with the receptionist.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on our practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.

ALL PATIENTS ARE SEEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

If you require an urgent/same day appointment please telephone either Pittenweem or Elie Surgery (between 8.30am and 10.00am or between 2pm and 2.30pm if possible).  The receptionist will ask for your details and a brief description of your symptoms.  Your name will be added to the triage list and a doctor will call you back as soon as possible to assess your condition.  They will then be able to deal with your problem in the most appropriate way.  If you think you or someone else has a serious or life threatening problem, make this clear to the receptionist when you call.

Repeat Medication Requests

If you have left your regular medication at home, please contact your own GP Surgery in the first instance.  They may be able to forward a prescription to the local pharmacy here.  If they are unable to do this we can provide you with an emergency supply.
